Azure (Dark Blue), a demi-pale removed, conjoined with a demi-bar issuant from sinister nombril conjoined by a bendlet sinister couped; in dexter chief the Southern Cross constellation, all Argent; all within a diminished bordure Or.


CREST

From a wreath Argent and Azure (Dark Blue), perched upon an olive branch Proper in dexter and a trident Argent (Silver Gray) in sinister, saltirewise, an eagle displayed wings inverted bearing the arms of the United States, all Proper; all between a pair of mullets Argent (Silver Gray).


MOTTO

A scroll Azure edged Or inscribed UNITY ∙ SECURITY ∙ STABILITY Argent.

Behind the shield, a pair of anchors in saltire Argent (Silver Gray).


Symbolism

SHIELD

The combined heraldic charges form the number 4 to indicate the Fourth Fleet as well as highlight unification and working together for a larger cause. The constellation Crux The Cross, also referred to as the Southern Cross, is a maritime navigational aid in the Southern Hemisphere as well as present in the United States Naval Forces Southern Command seal, establishing linage. Blue and gold are traditional colors of the Navy.


CREST

An olive branch is a symbol of peace and is held in the dominate claw of the eagle, implying peace is paramount. The trident is emblematic of naval authority and power and, when held in the eagles left claw, it signifies the ability to wield and use force as necessary. The eagle represents the United States and bears the Countrys arms; additionally, the eagles wings are spread to show protection. Two silver stars, one on each side of the eagles wings, indicate the rank of the Fourth Fleet Commander.


MOTTO

UNITY ∙ SECURITY ∙ STABILITY personifies the spirit and dedication of the command and crew by working together to maintain access, enhance interoperability, and build enduring partnerships that foster regional security. SUPPORTERS: Anchors are a traditional symbol of the Navy as well as express stability and security, reflecting the motto.


SEAL

The coat of arms as blazoned in full color on a blue disc, edged gold, enclosed by a dark blue border edged on the outside with a gold rope and inscribed UNITED STATES above and FOURTH FLEET below in white.
